Key areas of responsibilities:

We are looking for an entry level Design Engineer (preferably a new college graduate) for our Toronto Design Center. In this role you will contribute in to the design and verification of design units in digital video integrated circuits. Take ownership in VLSI design tasks such as algorithm design, logic design, test bench development, regression testing, C++-modelling and video quality verification using FPGAs.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Knowledge: ASIC or FPGA design and verification
• Programming: Verilog, C++, PLIs, Unix-shell/Perl scripting
• Interpersonal: Fluent communication skills, good team-player, motivated
• Problem solving: Analytical and persistent in resolving technical issues

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience: algorithm design, test bench development, regression development, FPGA development and debugging
• Knowledge: digital video, MPEG, transport, digital signal processing, data communication, micro processor
• Tools: Matlab, RTL compilers, FPGA compilers
• Programming: System C, System Verilog, Perl
