Software Applications Engineer

Relocation position – First year in Haifa and then Relocating to Sunnyvale, California

Primary function:

• Become part of a department that develops chips as well as software for digital cameras
• Join the elite group of COACH Application engineers and develop new features and technologies for our digital cameras embedded solutions
• Develop embedded software on COACH chip, a core of digital camera system
• Travel abroad to collaborate with key customers and help drive these accounts into production
• Work includes debugging, planning and developing features to meet customers’ requirements. Work closely with Zoran’s world wide application team in Korea, Japan, Taiwan and China and engineering in Israel.
• Become an expert in a large number of technical areas, including video/audio/image compression, video and image processing, file system, communication protocols etc.

Education and Experience:

• BSC in Computer Science
• High C coding and design skills
• Thorough understanding of programming in real time and multi threaded systems
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Ability to travel abroad (about 4-6 times a year)
• Knowledge in assembly

Environment: embedded, 32 bit MIPS, ThreadX OS
