Sr. Embedded Drivers Software Engineer

Join the highly experienced team of software engineers in Zoran’s HDTV team to participate in the development of the innovative HDTV software solutions. This is a high performance team with many years of experience in building HDTV software drivers and applications.

Duties:

• Design, implement, integrate, optimize and maintain software device drivers and middleware for Zoran HDTV SOC solutions
• Produce design documentation, test plans and test programs
• Conduct & participate in code reviews and other software best practices
• Activities will involve cross functional team effort such as working with VLSI team and overseas software teams for validation of functionality and performance of various components of the SOCs
   

Education:

• BSEE, BSCS (MSCS preferred)
   

Required Experience:

• 3-5 years of Embedded software development experience based on commercial operating system preferably Linux and ThreadX
• Experience in multimedia standard such as Real Media, Divx, FFMpeg is required
• Experience in USB software stack is a plus
• Individual should be familiar with different audio and video decoding standards such as RealVideo, RealAudio, MPEG4, H.264, MPEG2, AC3, MPEG audio and MP3 etc
• Experience with one or more of the following operating systems:
  • ThreadX
  • Linux
  • VxWorks
• Strong C and Mips assembly language programming language skills and software design capability
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills
   

Desired Experience:

• Familiarity or experience with video in digital TV or related field
