Overview

Zoran’s SupraHD® 787 ATSC/NTSC reference design is a complete hardware and software solution for building an integrated 1080p Digital Television (DTV) targeted for the United States market. The reference hardware module can be used in an LCD-based DTV. The reference TV application software complies with the ATSC broadcast standards.

The reference hardware module accepts the traditional video equipment interfaces including composite (CVBS), S-Video (Y/C), and component video (YPbPr) inputs, as well as HDMI v.1.3 inputs with deep color.

The reference TV application supports all the basic functionalities required for a DTV, such as an ATSC/NTSC software stack, Electronic Program Guide (EPG), closed-caption decoding, parental control, basic audio control (i.e. bass, treble, balance), and basic video control (i.e. contrast, brightness, color and sharpness).

The reference design supports 1080p display in dual-channel LVDS output to flat panel displays.
