Newly Launched IPS^™ Release 8.1 Software Delivers Improved Performance for Digital Printing Market

Sunnyvale, Calif. – Oct. 6, 2008 – Zoran Corporation (Nasdaq: ZRAN) announced its IPS™ Release 8.1 software solution for manufacturers of connected printers and multifunction printing devices delivers improved performance. The IPS™ Interpreter for XPS, available as a component of the IPS Release 8.1 software, has earned the Certified for Windows Vista software logo and Certified for Windows Server 2008 logo.

The IPS™ Release 8.1 solution provides manufacturers performance improvements including optimizations for the 2007 Microsoft Office system and other host applications, an upgraded common display list that allows for customization and image quality optimization across all page description languages, and more efficient rendering of transparent objects – all in highly portable source code that offers flexibility in a single software package. In addition, Zoran’s IPS™ Interpreter for XPS fully supports Microsoft’s XPSDrv print path.
