IPS DDK 3.0 Print Driver Development Kit Supports Full GUI and Rich Feature Set
Sunnyvale, Calif. – May 11, 2009 – Zoran Corporation (Nasdaq: ZRAN) announced that its IPS DDK 3.0 print driver development kit has been enhanced to support the XPSDrv print path in current and future Windows operating systems, including Windows 7, and to provide improved capability for laser and inkjet printers and multifunction peripherals (MFPs).
In addition to a full Graphical User Interface (GUI), the IPS DDK 3.0 print driver development kit delivers page and device previews, watermark generation, N-up formatting, complex booklet printing, reversed ordering, manual duplex, scaling and other useful features.

Zoran’s IPS DDK 3.0 driver development kit is a highly flexible and developer friendly platform that allows OEMs to reduce the development efforts of building customized print drivers by providing a consistent user interface and full feature set for use across Microsoft operating systems including Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7, in 32- and 64-bit editions.
The development kit includes complete compatibility with the XPSDrv print path introduced in Windows Vista, while retaining all the functionality of earlier IPS DDK releases. The kit also includes functionality to output all current print languages including Raster, PCL 5e, PCL 5c, PCL XL (PCL 6), PostScript and embedded XPS as well as host-side rendering of XPS. All drivers built with IPS DDK 3.0 can share the same rich feature set and user experience across operating systems, print architectures and print languages.
IPS DDK has a tradition of offering a highly localizable solution to virtually any language. The latest release has been extended further to provide French, German, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Hebrew translations for all common features and settings.
