Zoran Corporation’s Quatro® 4230 Processor Deployed in Konica Minolta’s magicolor 1650EN Printer

Processor Provides Compelling Combination of Integration and Performance to Desktop Laser Printers

SUNNYVALE, CA - February 04, 2009 - Zoran Corporation (NASDAQ: ZRAN) announced that its highly integrated, fully programmable Quatro® 4230 processor is powering Konica Minolta’s new magicolor 1650EN desktop color laser printer.

Konica Minolta’s magicolor 1650EN, one of the smallest color printers available in its class, prints 20 pages-per-minute (ppm) in monochrome, 5 ppm in color and easily integrates with any Windows, Mac or Linux network.

“Konica Minolta’s new compact printer represents another important milestone in the evolution of the color laser market as printers become better suited to the space and cost constraints of the desktop,” said Simon Dolan, senior vice president and general manager, Zoran’s Imaging Division.

The Quatro® 4230 solution combines an ARM11™ CPU core for processing page description languages (PDLs) and dual Quatro® SIMD DSP cores for high quality image processing and PDL acceleration, providing OEMs with a compelling combination of integration and performance. To help reduce time to market, Zoran offers manufacturers a complete development platform including connectivity stacks for the Ethernet, USB and PCI interfaces. The platform is common across Zoran’s Quatro® family of SOCs.

The Quatro® 4230 processor is available to qualified customers. For more information on the Quatro® family of processors, please visit www.zoran.com or contact a Zoran sales representative at 781-791-6000.
