Dr. Levy Gerzberg is Co-Founder, President, CEO and Director of Zoran Corporation, a publicly traded company (NASDAQ:ZRAN) with headquarters in Sunnyvale, California, and additional operations in Asia, Europe, Israel and the U.S.
Prior to co-founding Zoran Corporation, Dr. Gerzberg was Associate Director of Stanford University’s Electronics Laboratory where he managed, conducted research and taught. Dr. Gerzberg has over 25 years experience in the high technology industry in areas related to ICs, software and systems utilizing digital signal processing in consumer electronics, communications, PCs and medical electronic markets. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, an M.S. in Medical Electronics, and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
Dr. Gerzberg was named Northern California’s “2003 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year” in the Semiconductor category. In 2004, Dr. Gerzberg was honored as the recipient of the California Israel Chamber of Commerce International Partnership award. From 2007 through 2009, Dr. Gerzberg served on the Consumer Electronics Association’s Board of Industry Leaders.
Dr. Gerzberg has delivered numerous invited talks on technical, business and entrepreneurial topics. He is the author of multiple technical and business papers and an inventor who holds several patents.
Karl Schneider has served as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer since July 1998, having joined Zoran as Corporate Controller in January of that year. Prior to joining Zoran, Mr. Schneider served as Controller for the Film Measurement and Robotics and Integrated Technologies divisions of KLA-Tencor and as Corporate Controller for SCM Microsystems, Inc. Prior to those positions, he served as Controller for Reply Corporation, Director of Finance for Digital F/X, and Controller for Flextronics. Mr. Schneider holds a B.S. in Business Administration from San Diego State University.
Dr. Isaac Shenberg has served as Senior Vice President, Business Development for Zoran Corporation since October 1998. He also served as Product Line Business Manager, when he first joined Zoran in August 1990, and as Vice President, Sales and Marketing from January 1995 until his promotion to his current position in 1998. Dr. Shenberg holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology.
Ram Ofir, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Zoran Corporation’s Home Entertainment division, joined Zoran in 1991. He has served in various engineering, marketing and management positions, including as Vice President Engineering and General Manager of Zoran Microelectronics Ltd site in Haifa, Israel. Prior to that, he served as Director of Marketing for Zoran’s DVD, DTV and Audio product lines, where he made major contributions to the design, development and success of the Vaddis, SupraTV, SupraHD and other product lines. Prior to joining Zoran, he held positons at National Semiconductor. Mr. Ofir holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology.
Simon Dolan, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Zoran Corporation’s Imaging Division, joined Zoran in 2003 with the acquisition of Oak Technologies, where he was serving as SVP and GM of the Imaging Group. Prior to Oak, he spent eleven years with LSI Logic in various positions including VP Strategic Marketing and VP Marketing for Consumer Products. Previously, he was employed in engineering and marketing positions at Inmos Ltd. He holds a Masters of Science degree in Information Technology from University College London, and a BA in Mathematics and Philosophy from Mansfield College, Oxford.
Connie Fredrickson-Bray, Vice President Human Resources, joined Zoran Corporation in November 2003. Prior to Zoran, Connie served as Vice President Human Resources at ChipPAC, Inc. She has also served as Director Human Resources International at G.D. Searle & Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Monsanto, where she gained her experience in international human resources. Connie began her career at Monsanto in accounting and finance. She earned her B.B.A. from the University of Iowa, and has a Certificate in Human Resources from the University of California Santa Cruz. Connie is a member of the Northern California Human Resources Association and the Society for Human Resource Management.
Tzach Hadas, Vice President Operations, joined Zoran Corporation in 1993 as an engineer. Since that time, he has served in multiple positions that have contributed to the success of Zoran’s engineering and manufacturing efforts. He has served as team leader, group manager, VLSI manager, and director and senior director of operations prior to his promotion to Vice President Operations in July 2003. Mr. Hadas holds a B.A. in Physics from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tel-Aviv University, has published articles in Solid-state Electronics, and holds a co-patent in self-tuning clock recovery.
Charlie Parr, Vice President Worldwide Sales for Zoran Corporation, has over 31 years experience in the semiconductor industry. He joined Zoran in 2003 with the acquisition of Oak Technologies, where he had served as VP Worldwide Sales since 1999. Previously, he held various sales and management positions at VLSI Technology, Motorola and other semiconductor companies. He holds a Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and an MBA from Arizona State University.
