Overview

This chip is highly integrated, consisting of a MPEG-2 decoder, PAL video decoder, dual HDMI 1.3 interface, high-performance CPU, powerful graphics engine, video scaler, video enhancement processing, LVDS driver and various other peripherals necessary for building a DTV.

The reference hardware module accepts traditional video equipment interfaces, such as composite (CVBS), S-video (Y/C), component (YPbPr), SCART (CVBS, RGB), as well as more advanced interfaces, such as HDMI from newer DVD players. The reference hardware module can directly drive an LCD panel, output L/R audio to its internal speakers and SPDIF multi-channel output to an external audio receiver.
